Football, game in which two teams of 11 players, using any part of their boy except heir hands, try to maneuver the ball into the opposing teams goal. In the goal post their is player called goal keeper who has only handle the ball using arms and hands in the penalty area surrounding the goal. The team that scores more goals wins. Football is the world most popular ball game in number of participants and spectators. The turn of the 21st century there were approximately 250 million football players and over 1.3 billion people interested in football
History
The modern football is originated in Britain in the 19th century. The game had been played in towns and villages according to local customs and with a minimum of rules. However, football was taken up as a winter game between residence houses at public schools. Each school has it's own rules. By the early 20th century, football had spread across Europe, but it was in need of international organization. In 1904, some representatives from the football associations founded the Federation International de Football Association(FIFA). Although Englishman Daniel Woolfall was elected FIFA president in 1906 and were admitted as members by 1911.
Play of the game
The game contains around 17 laws according to field of play, conduct of participants, and settlings of results. The International Football Association Board (IFAB),consisting of delegates from FIFA and the four football associations from the United Kingdom, is empowered to amend the laws. Modification to the laws regarding the size of the field, ball, and goal, as well as the duration of the game, the use of return substitutes, and the use of temporary dismissals may be made for youth, senior, and disabled players and in grassroots or amateur football.
The Ball
The ball is spherical shaped and covered with leather or other suitable materials. The pressure of ball is set in 0.6-1.1 atmospheres,68-70 cm circumference and 410-450 grams in weight.
Duration of the game
In regular, this is a 90 minutes game and is divided into two equal halves. The halftime of the game long as 15 minutes. The 45 minutes of equal halves maybe changes with stoppages in play like player injuries and some delays in play. If in with the 90 minutes neither side wins additional 30 minutes of equal halves be added. And then, if still the game remains draw the game will go for penalty kicks. Still no winner is established there is coin toss for finding the winner of the match.
The Pitch
The playing field parameters :
the rectangular shaped pitch has 90-120 meter length and 45-90 meter breadth
For international matches : 100-110 meter long and 64-75 meter wide
The Goal
In the center of short side of the pitch there is a goal post located. From the corners the goal keeps equal distance. It is a three sided frame typically backed by a net of parameter 7.3 meters wide and 2.4 meters high.
The Penalty area
A rectangular area in front of the goal 40.2 meter wide and 16.5 meter long. Only area to goal keeper is allowed to use hands and arms to handle the ball. Inside the box a penalty mark is marked with a distance 11 meters from the midpoint of the goal. In the penalty area there is a smaller rectangle is the goal area with 18.3 meter wide and 5.5 meter long.
Referee
The game is controlled by the referee who is also a time keeper and two assistant referees who patrol the side lines when the ball goes out and when players are offside.
Uniform of the game
The team must wear identifiably different uniforms and the goal keeper's uniform must different from the players and the match officials. The players wear jerseys with number, shorts, and socks. Which indicated the team for whom they are playing. Football boots and pads must in the game.
Free kicks
If there is a foul or violation of rules when a free kick is taken. If a free kick is taken the offending players keep 9.15 meters from the ball. And it is taken direct or indirect.
Penalty kicks
Inside the penalty area there is a foul conducted then the penalty will taken.
Yellow and Red cards
If a serious foul is conducted by a player the referee shows the yellow card to the player and its just a warning, if the same player attempts the serious foul again the second warning is showed by the referee and a red card is shown and ejection from the game. If a player conducts dangerous fouls the referee show directly a red card to the player.
The poetry of the football is its commentary : the commentary describes the game for spectators, visual information such as body language, facial expressions, actions etc. Some commentaries made spectators goosebumps.
